Read-only. In your browser.
TRACE is a public beta. This page explains, in plain terms, what happens to your data when you use it. Last updated 7 October 2026.
What we use
Only the wallet address you enter, and the public trading data Hyperliquid publishes for that address: fills, funding payments, open positions and account value history. We never ask for a signature, a private key, a seed phrase or a wallet connection.
Where it is processed
In your browser. The app requests your public data directly from Hyperliquid's API (api.hyperliquid.xyz) and does every calculation on your device. TRACE has no server that receives, stores or sees your address or your trading history.
What is stored, and where
- On your device only: up to five recently analyzed addresses and your light/dark theme choice, in your browser's local storage.
- If you join the waitlist: your email address. It is stored in our Google Sheet (via Google Forms) and used only to invite you to TRACE and tell you about its launch. It is never sold or shared.
- Nothing else: no accounts, no cookies, no analytics or tracking scripts, no advertising.
Deleting your data
Open the research desk, open Wallets and choose Forget saved wallets. Clearing this site's data in your browser settings removes everything as well. Your trading data is never stored on our side. To remove your waitlist email, message us on X at @gettrace and we will delete it.
Third parties
- Hyperliquid receives the requests your browser makes for public data, like any visit to their API, including your IP address.
- Google stores waitlist emails in Google Forms and Google Sheets on our behalf.
- Our hosting provider serves the site's files and may keep standard access logs (such as IP address and pages requested) for security and reliability.
Wallet addresses and trading history on Hyperliquid are public by nature. Anyone can look up any address; TRACE only presents what is already public.
Not financial advice
TRACE shows historical analytics of your observed sample. It is not financial, investment or tax advice, it does not predict future results, and it is not tax accounting. Historical leverage is estimated, and some history may be incomplete because Hyperliquid limits what it returns.
Questions or problems
Message us on X at @gettrace. If something looks wrong in your analysis, a screenshot and the page you were on help us fix it quickly. Please never send a private key or seed phrase — we will never ask for one.
If this page changes in a way that affects your data, we will update the date above and announce it on @gettrace.
